Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

This policy explains the voluntary change-of-mind exchange process and how MarvellousGrace handles goods that are defective, damaged, materially misdescribed, or wrongly supplied.

Last updated 25 September 2026

1. Policy scope and statutory rights

This policy applies to goods purchased from MarvellousGrace. The 7-day change-of-mind arrangement below is a MarvellousGrace business policy; it is not presented as a universal statutory timeframe. Nothing in this policy limits a remedy available under applicable Nigerian consumer-protection law for defective, damaged, materially misdescribed, or wrongly supplied goods.

2. Change-of-mind exchange window

You may request a voluntary exchange for an eligible ready-to-wear item within 7 calendar days from receipt. Contact MarvellousGrace within that window and wait for return instructions before sending or bringing the item back.

For ordinary change of mind, the normal remedy is an exchange, subject to availability, or store credit. A cash refund is not automatically offered for a discretionary change-of-mind request, but this does not affect statutory remedies where goods do not meet applicable legal standards.

3. Eligibility and condition

To qualify for a voluntary change-of-mind exchange, the item must:

  • be unworn, unused, unwashed, unstained, undamaged, and free from odour or alteration;
  • retain original tags, packaging, and protective materials where applicable;
  • be accompanied by proof of purchase or the relevant order confirmation; and
  • be returned in a condition suitable for inspection and resale.

A requested size or colour exchange depends on current availability. If the preferred replacement is unavailable, MarvellousGrace may discuss another eligible item or store credit.

4. Voluntary-return exclusions

For hygiene, personalisation, or committed production reasons, voluntary change-of-mind returns may be excluded for used beauty or personal-care items, intimate or hygiene-sensitive goods where the protective seal has been opened, altered or personalised goods, and custom or special orders. Any relevant restriction should be disclosed before purchase.

These voluntary exclusions do not remove statutory rights where an item is defective, damaged, materially misdescribed, or wrongly supplied.

5. Defective, damaged, incorrect, or misdescribed goods

Contact MarvellousGrace promptly with your order details and a clear description of the issue. Photographs may be requested where they can assist a fair initial assessment, but the item may still need inspection. Goods supplied through an online or WhatsApp representation should materially correspond with the confirmed description.

Where an error or qualifying defect attributable to MarvellousGrace is verified, MarvellousGrace will provide an appropriate remedy under the circumstances and applicable law, which may include repair where suitable, replacement, exchange, price adjustment, or refund.

6. Return and redelivery costs

For a discretionary change-of-mind exchange, the customer normally bears reasonable return and redelivery costs. Where MarvellousGrace verifies that it supplied the wrong item or that a qualifying defect or delivery damage attributable to MarvellousGrace exists, MarvellousGrace will bear or reasonably arrange the necessary return process.

7. Inspection and outcome

Returned goods are inspected before a remedy is approved. MarvellousGrace will communicate the result and available next step after the item and supporting information have been reasonably assessed. An item sent without prior contact remains subject to the same eligibility and inspection requirements.

8. Refunds

Where a refund is approved, it will be processed through a reasonable, verified payment method after the relevant checks. Timing can depend on the payment channel and receiving institution. MarvellousGrace will not request confidential banking credentials to issue a refund. See the Payment Policy for payment-record and overpayment arrangements.

9. How to request a return

Contact MarvellousGrace before returning an item. Provide your name, order reference, item, date received, requested outcome, and the reason for the request. For cancellation before dispatch, use the Cancellation Policy.
